Conan Barbarian was such a popular hit, that Funcom has created its own MMORPG “Age of Conan” based on the popular movie by John Milius with bodybuilder come California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  The movie “Conan the Barbarian” is loosely based off the Conan the Barbarian stories by Robert Howard, and the movie was written by iconic screenwriter Oliver Stone and John Milius.  The sequel in 1984 was a much lighter fare called “Conan the Destroyer”.  The movie was set in the bronze and iron age with magical sorcerers and deviants. There is a fabled maestro who tells of the DAOC triple log.  Here is how to get DAOC to run 3 accounts.

1. Turn on Windowed mode.  You do this by going to the game settings after you log in.  Remember, you have to log off to get Windowed mode.
2. You need at least 2 Gigs of RAM for DAOC 3 accounts.  DAOC is an old game, but it is still quite the memory hog.  Today’s Core2Duo computers with 2-8 gigs of RAM should easily provide enough power to do the DAOC triple log.
3. You should use a macroing tool like EZ-Macro to make your life easier.

That sounded really easy right?  Well, getting 3 DAOC accounts to run on one computer is not hard, but playing them well is.  Imagine 3 enchanters simultaneously running around, AOE’ing everyone in sight!  Setting up EZ-Macros is the key.  Just have 2 enchanters autofollow the leader and then key off of the leader’s AOE blasts…

 After this, you would have received the DAOC Emissary Broken Visions Quest.  Afterwards, travel to Aegir’s Landing via the portal in Mularn.  Cross the bridge once you are in Aegirhamn and follow the coast towards the south.  There is a blue portal in the ground that is the entrance to the Scholar’s retreat.   Examine the Scholar’s desk to find the teleportation stone needed in the DAOC Champ Exp Quest.

Once you have gotten the teleportation stone, the DAOC Emissary Broken Visions Quest is almost done.  All you have to do is talk to Athr Hasetti again.  There, you are done with the DAOC Champ Exp Quest.

Fading Memories EverQuest

This is a post discussing Fading Memories.  It talks about Escape vs Fading Memories Everquest.

FT and Fading Memories are essentially the only way for bards to improve their crowd control (CC) ability through items/AA's.

Fading Memories is the answer to bards not being good at CC.  Fading Memories EverQuest improves faster with FT than enchanter CC, but it's just one part of bard CC.  Algebraically one might write it like this:

    Enchanter: CC*equipment_bonus = equipped CC

    Bard: CC + Fading_Memories*larger_bonus = equipped CC

Mentor EverQuest  -- how to help a newbie without buying EQ2 platinum

The mentor everquest system was put in place by Sony to help new players get started. When you mentor a player, all of your current equipment and skills just scale down to the right level. 

No other changes are needed to mentor a buddy.

So why bother mentoring?  If you have a friend that joins the game you can play with them, at their level.  Furthermore, in the EQ2 model, when you mentor anyone, he/she get a boost in exp, while you take a bit of a hit.  So you are actually helping your friend along by mentoring.  You do not have to start a new alt every time a pal shows up and you want to play with them.

Fields of Battle:

There are more undisclosed changes coming to the AV 2.3 patch.
All battlefields will have a "free" buff period before the start of the battle and briefly after being resurrected by the Spirit Guide, like the Arena.

In addition, he said that the BG Honor system to purchase boots, belts and bracers will improve in the future, although not specifically say when. He says that there will be daily BG Missions:

Daily Missions:

They will focus on a battlefield at random each day.
You get Brigadier Generals for Alliance and the Horde Warmasters near Battle of the Masters in all major capitals.
The missions are rewarded in gold, experience and honor.
You can do the missions as soon as you are sufficiently high level to the battlefields. Therefore, in WSG days level 11 character can make the daily searches.

It seems they're trying to limit the Arena gear to players who actually have won, so it looks on the shoulders of the player stand out players of the highest rating. In general, these changes seem a step in the right direction. We'll be losing sight out for more love PvP where the blue ads.
